On the evening of January 16th around 2000hrs, Ladder 1344, BLS 1396 & BLS 1393 responded to an MVA across from Springdale Farms. Upon arrival, Ladder 4A's officer Lt. Jim Collins, assessed the 2 car MVA and determined that 1 occupant from vehicle 1 was trapped while occupants in vehicle 2 were out of their pick up truck and complaining of neck and back pain. The assignment was then upgraded to a Rescue Box. Rescue 13, Battalion 13, EMS 13 and 1392 responded. Ladder 4's crew stabilized vehicle 1 and started removing the front and rear driver's side doors. Upon Rescue 13's arrival, it was determined that the occupants foot was pinned under the dashboard. Hydraulic tools from 1344 and Rescue 13 were then used to lift the dashboard. The occupant was then extricated and transported to Virtua Voorhees.

CHFD Alarm System becomes Building Fire and HazMat
1/1/11 at 09:30 am CHFD Squrt 31 and Ladder 44 responded to 1960 Old Cuthbert for a fire alarm, Squrt 31 discovered smoke showing and requested that a Building Fire assignment bringing Squad 13, Battalion 13, BLS 1393 and the Working Fire Box Ladder 24 and Engine 22.
The fire occurred in a battery manufacturing facility and resulted in a leak of Potassium Hydroxide. CHFD HazMat team members and Camden County Department of Health neutralized the material.
New Years Day Fire
Companies were dispatched to 700 Marlow Road @ 06:04 hours for a report of a dwelling fire. First due company, Ladder Co.1344, arrived and reported a single family dwelling with smoke showing from the 2nd floor of the dwelling. While enroute, Battalion Chief Harris requested the working fire box.
Lt. Collins and FF Micua entered the dwelling and ensured all residents were safely out of the dwelling. Squrt Co. 1331 secured there own water supply and stretched a hand line to the 2nd floor.
Ladder Co. 1344 and Squrt Co. 1331's crews located the fire in an attic space above the garage. The fire had also extended into the living space of the dwelling. Companies quickly extinguished the fire. Squad Co. 13 supported the first engine company with a second line. Ladder Co. 1324's crew assisted with interior and exterior tasks to vent and contain the fire.
The fire was under control quickly with no firefighter injuries.
