Early Morning Fire in Vacant Dwelling

Early on Sunday morning 9/2 A-group was dispatched to this fire.
A cell phone call was received for a report of a house on fire in the 100 block of Edison Road. Upon the arrival of BLS 1392 they reported a fire to the rear of a vacant dwelling. Ladder 1324 arrived and confirmed a fire to the B/C corner of the dwelling and it appeared to be a dwelling under renovation.





Making entry in Division C

 Squad 13 arrived and secured their own water supply and stretched an 1 3/4" handline to the rear while Ladder 24 forced entry to the front and back of the dwelling.
The external fire was extinguished and a second line was stretched by Engine 22 to the interior to check for extension. The ceilings were pulled in the area of the fire and fire in that location was extinguished. Overhaul was completed in the area of the fire and there was no more extension. FM 13 responded for the fire investigation.
