On the evening of Tuesday, April 17, a CHFD unit came across a very unusual situation.
While traveling through the Willowdale section on the way to a training session, the crew of Ladder 4 discovered a horse running loose through the neighborhood. After requesting assistance for traffic control from the CHPD, the members of Ladder 4 started following the confused and frightened animal. After just a few minutes, a member of the CHFD crew managed to safely lasso and corral the horse. The animal was reunited with its grateful owner.
